Ask Cheryl: Botox at what age?

Q: What is a good age to start having Botox treatments?

A: It all depends on how you feel about your appearance.

Certainly it is time to consider BOTOX® Cosmetic if you are bothered by frown lines between your eyes or on your forehead, or have developed crow’s feet at the corners of your eyes.

These are “dynamic” lines that develop as a result of using the facial muscles by frowning, squinting, etc.   There is a growing trend to have conservative Botox treatments as a preventive measure starting in the 20s and 30s before these facial lines become very pronounced, which may mean less Botox may be necessary as you age.

In addition to Botox, there are two other neuromodulators that have been approved by the FDA, Dysport and Xeomin, and several others are awaiting approval.

Stop frowning… start smiling!
If your facial expression lines are beginning to bother you, starting to give you the appearance of a frown or scowl, then you are an excellent candidate for a BOTOX® treatment. Take the first step by scheduling a complementary consultation online.  We have two convenient locations, Boston’s Back Bay and Wellesley.
