Ask Cheryl | Microneedling Skin Rejuvenation

Q: What is Microneedling?  What is it used for?

A: Microneedling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine used to refresh and revitalize skin.

Microneedling will improve the skin’s tone, texture and color; reduce the appearance of fine lines; and even improve acne scars.

During this procedure, a pen-like device is used that has multiple tiny needles that create micro punctures that are not visible to the naked eye.  These punctures stimulate the skin to produce new collagen and elastin resulting in a younger and healthier-looking skin.

In addition, as the pen glides over the treatment area, topical serums are applied and will be absorbed deep into the skin due to the micro channels created by the needling process.

There will be an immediate glow to the skin and visible changes to the skin develop over several weeks as collagen production continues.
