Ask Cheryl: Cellulite Treatments

Q:  Are there any effective treatments for cellulite?

A:  Cellulite is normal fat beneath the skin which appears bumpy because it pushes against connective tissue, septae, causing the skin above it to pucker.  Even thin people have cellulite.

There have been many treatments over the years, including creams, massage, and mesotherapy; none of which work very well.   The FDA has approved a new cellulite treatment using radio frequency (RF) energy.

The RF energy heats up the skin tissues that contribute to cellulite, helping to break down the fat and enhance the elasticity of the septae, thus reducing or eliminating cellulite.  There is no pain and no downtime.

We have been using this new technology at SkinHealth and our clients have been thrilled with the results.
