Injectables
Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation
There are so many wonderful options to reduce and eliminate frown lines, crease, crow's feet, and wrinkles. Injectables can easily take 5 to 10 years off your appearance by replacing volume in the face that we lose in the aging process. Also, as we age, our faces can assume a tired or angry look, even when you are in a wonderful mood! Today, that can all be rectified quickly and painlessly.
At a certain stage, usually in a person's thirties and up, a growing list of concerns cause men and women to seek improvements from a nonsurgical treatment. Today's extensive menu of nonsurgical treatments has something for virtually everyone, especially if you're scalpel-shy.
Nonsurgical solutions go far to bridge the gap between what you can get at a beauty salon and what you can get in the aesthetic surgeon's operating room. Nonsurgical advancements like injectables are relatively affordable and generally have little downtime.
There is a lot of consumer confusion about what goes where and what fills what. Dermal fillers are not the botulinum toxin type A products. Botulinum toxin type A products and fillers are used in different ways.
Dermal fillers, such as the brand names Restylane, Juviderm and Radiesse, add volume under the surface of the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). They are also used to increase vilume in the lips, cheeks and hands.
Botulinum toxin type A products, such as Botox and Dysport, are injected into the muscles to prevent contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines between the eyebrows, crows feet and forehead. There are some additional uses for Botox and Dysport, as well.
